John Painter is a medical epidemiologist with the CDC Foodborne and Diarrheal Disease Branch.  He had his medical training in veterinary medicine and public health training through the CDC Epidemiology Intelligence Service.  He specializes in foodborne outbreak surveillance and response.  In addition, he is responsible for the CDC's Cholera and Other Vibrio Surveillance System.
