	Scientific Panel on Biological Hazards, European Food Safety Authority	Opinion of the BOIHAZ Panel on: "A Quantitative Assessment of Risk Posed to Humans by Tissues of Small Ruminants in Case BSE is Present in these Animal Populations" Opinion adopted on June 8, 2005 in response to a request for a quantitative risk assessment for the risk from consumption of meat from BSE-positive goats and sheep. A quantitative assessment is not made due to lack of data, but data gaps are addressed and a qualitative assessment of risk from BSE in goats is made.
