US Food and Drug Administration
Reliable food safety risk information can be useful to health professionals, consumers, regulated entities and decision-makers.
The Food/Water Safety Risk Specialty Group (FWSRSG) is a subsection of the Society for Risk Analysis and is open to all members of the SRA interested in risk analysis issues as they relate to food and water consumption. Of primary concern are biological, chemical and physical hazards that are naturally occurring or result from substances intentionally or unintentionally added during production or processing (such as pesticides, food additives and drinking water disinfectants).
The goal of the Economics and Decision Analysis Section of the National Capital Area Chapter of the SRA is to promote integrating risk assessment with economic analyses and decision sciences. Bridging the gap between economic analysis and risk assessment has become increasingly important in public policy due to the necessity to complete analyses in a timely manner that will withstand both national and international critique.
